Coming this November YM is back!!! Join the ECO and Fr. Patrick as families meet in the HF Hall for an evening of Faith and Fun.
This year the ECO is excited to offer Ydisciple. Ydisciple is designed for a small group setting where Catechists, Parents, & Teens can gather for an opening session and then break into age appropriate groups for targeted discussion on the evenings topic. Parent's will be given a handout of what was covered so that the conversation can continue through out the week.
Coming this October is a Diocesan Retreat "ABIDE"
Middle schoolers and their adult chaperones are invited to register and participate in the ABIDE Middle School Youth retreat happening October 1st at St. Mary of the Visitation Church in Houlton and October 2nd at St. Maximilian Kolbe Church in Scarborough. Both days will run from 10am-3pm. The day will be a time to come together in community, with fun, witnesses, prayer and more!
"Remain in me, as I remain in you. Just as a branch cannot bear its own fruit unless it remains on the vine, so neither can you unless you remain in me.
I am the vine, you are the branches. Whoever remains in me and I in him will bear much fruit, because without me you can do nothing (Jn 15:4-5)."
World Youth Day (WYD) is an international encounter with the Pope generally celebrated every three years. Different countries around the world have hosted WYD gatherings, and in 2023, the host city will be Lisbon, Portugal. The weeklong celebration includes opportunities for prayer, catechesis, and daily Mass, and events with Pope Francis, most especially the closing liturgy in which hundreds of thousands of youths from around the world participate. With Fatima a short trip from Lisbon, it is sure to be on our pilgrimage.
We are blessed to be partnered with Dube Travel, which has been providing travel and accommodations for WYD events since 1997 and is recognized as top in its field for WYD pilgrimages. Chris Dube presented a webinar with more detailed information (see below).
Your empty bottles can make a difference! We have accounts with Roopers and Clynk.
How it works:
Clynk: Just grab a Clynk bag, fill it up, and once it's full, bring it to any Hannaford Clynk return station. You can find Prince of Peace Youth Ministry bags at the Parish office.
Roopers: When you're returning bottles, just mention that you want the proceeds to go to Prince of Peace Youth Ministry.
