The Prince of Peace Parish was host to the Priestly Ordination of Deacon Emile Dubé on Saturday, May 26, 2012. Father Dubé, 60, served for 35 years as a brother in the Catholic order of Salesians of St. John Bosco in New York. Most of his work was in religious education and youth ministry in various states and countries as well as fund raising to support the work of the order around the world.
A native of Lewiston, Father Dubé graduated from St. Dominic Regional High School and Ohio Dominican University, studied at the Institute of Salesian Studies in Berkeley, California and graduated from Blessed John XXIII Seminary, Weston, Massachusetts with a Masters in Divinity.
He has had three summer placements in Maine: Good Shepherd Parish, Biddeford (2009); Parish of the Precious Blood, Caribou (2010); and Parish of the Ascension of the Lord, Kittery (2011).
Father Dubé has been assigned to the Parish of the Precious Blood in Caribou. The Prince of Peace Parish community wishes God’s continued blessings on Father Dubé as he begins his priestly ministry!
