“Over the years, the FDA has bent the law and shown disregard for women’s health when it comes to chemical abortion. In 2000, mifepristone was first approved using an ‘accelerated’ review process that is supposed to be only for new drugs that treat serious illnesses and are better than existing treatments. But pregnancy is not an illness, and abortion drugs are riskier than surgical abortion.”

“40 days for Life” Vigils
“40 Days for Life” vigils are planned for Portland, Bangor, and Houlton from September 25 through November 3. It is an internationally coordinated, 40-day campaign that aims to end abortion through prayer and fasting, community outreach, and continuous peaceful vigils outside of abortion facilities. All are welcome to participate. Our prayerful witness sends a powerful message to the community about the tragic reality of abortion.
