Prince of Peace HIGH SCHOOL MINISTRY
Returns NOVEMBER 19th! What do you seek?
A New High School ministry program entitled “Called” is meeting on Sunday, November 19th following the 5pm Mass at Holy Family Church, Lewiston, 6-8pm.
All high school students are welcome and this program is designed to build friendships rooted in the Catholic faith. Once monthly gatherings will include a pot-luck dinner (please bring a dish to share), minute to win it games, and a short video & discussion, concluding in prayer. In addition, Called will support parish community service events and hopes to attend a LifeTeen Catholic retreat this summer for only high school teenagers in Massachusetts, called Steubenville East. This summer’s retreat hosted over 1300 high school students from all over New England!
Please reach out to the parish office with any questions.
Meeting dates at Holy Family Hall are: 11/19, 1/21, 2/11, 3/17, 4/28, 5/19 They will be starting The Search Begins w/ Chris Stefanick.
The Search is designed to enkindle meaningful discussions with teens searching for answers: What is the meaning of my life? Why am I here? Who am I? Is God real? Modified for teens, The Search Begins invites middle and high school students to consider the deepest questions of the human heart. The series considers death, sorrow, happiness, science, and faith. It features teen commentary and shorter segments to facilitate honest conversations between teens and their youth ministers, parents, teachers, and peers. The Search Begins emphasizes why a teen should care to ask life’s tough questions and, ultimately, seek an answer to this most important question: Who is Jesus Christ, and how do I respond to his invitation?
Every teen who joins will be gifted a new Catholic
“The Search” Bible and journal.
