The Catholic Foundation of Maine The 2025 Lila Grace Sullivan Amirault Scholarship
The Lila Grace Sullivan Amirault Scholarship Fund was established in 2013 at the Catholic Foundation of Maine, by the late Mr. Patrick Amirault in memory of his wife, Lila Grace Sullivan Amirault. The fund’s purpose is to provide a college scholarship for Catholic students attending high school in Maine. Scholarships will be awarded each year; One to a student at each of the two (2) Catholic high schools in Maine and one to an active Catholic attending a Maine high school. Previous awards have ranged between $3,000. - $5,000.
The deadline for applications is Friday, February 21, 2025. Applications may be emailed and/or mailed and must include all paperwork. The award winners for 2025 will be announced as soon as possible after the end of February. Recipients will be contacted and interviewed for articles and press releases to run in Harvest Magazine and other media.
Eligibility:
Applicant must be a practicing Catholic and active in the parish and attending a high school in Maine.
Applicant must be accepted to attend an accredited college or university.
The award will be for tuition only. The scholarship will be paid directly to the awardee’s school after their first semester is completed and requirements of the scholarship are met.
Applicant must demonstrate financial need and provide necessary documentation and/or give permission for the high school he/she attends to provide same.
Applicant must be working (work study is acceptable) while attending college or university.
