Priests will be present to minister the sacrament of Reconciliation at 1:30pm followed by the sacrament of the Anointing of the Sick at 2:00pm. The Anointing of the Sick will not take place during Mass. Holy Communion will be offered to those who might not have had the chance to receive Communion earlier in the day because of their illness.
The sacrament of the Anointing of the Sick is intended for those who are suffering from some kind of serious physical illness and for those severely weakened by advancing age. It is not intended exclusively for the dying. A person can be anointed a second time for the same illness if his or her condition has worsened in some way.
Please offer to bring a sick family member or neighbor to this celebration.
