Jubilee Year 2025 - Pilgrims of Hope
Pope Francis has declared 2025 as a Holy Year of Jubilee for the Catholic Church, an event celebrated once every 25 years. The theme, “Pilgrims of Hope,” invites us to rekindle the flame of faith, showcase the hope of our Christian faith, and share it with a world in need of light amidst the challenges of war, poverty, and the effects of the COVID pandemic.

In the Roman Catholic Diocese of Portland, the faithful may obtain the Jubilee Indulgence granted by Pope Francis through a pious visit to a sacred jubilee site. In the diocese, sites include the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception in Portland and the Basilica of Saints Peter & Paul in Lewiston.
