Signs of Grace in Our Parish
As we enter Holy Week, we are reminded that hope is not a feeling—it is a person. Our hope is in Jesus Christ. In the biblical tradition, hope is not passive; it is a confident, expectant trust that God will provide—even when the way forward seems uncertain.
Pope Francis has called this year a Jubilee for Pilgrims of Hope, and that pilgrimage is unfolding right here among us. In the midst of uncertainty, God is at work in powerful ways:
– Twelve individuals will be fully initiated into the Catholic Church at the Easter Vigil through Baptism, Confirmation, and First Holy Communion
– Eight adults will enter into full communion with the Catholic Church through a Profession of Faith, Confirmation, & the Eucharist at the Easter Vigil.
During the Easter season
– Nine teens and adults will be Confirmed by the Bishop
– Twenty-eight children will receive Confirmation and First Holy Communion
– In May, three men will be ordained to the priesthood at the Basilica of Saints Peter and Paul
– And we will welcome hundreds of Jubilee pilgrims to the Basilica, each seeking God’s mercy, healing, and grace
These are not just milestones—they are the visible fruit of your witness and the quiet, faithful work of the Holy Spirit among us. Every person receiving a sacrament or walking through our doors is responding to something sacred: the call of Christ.
As we enter these holiest days of the year, let us hold in prayer those seeking the Lord—those preparing for sacraments, those newly called, and those whose hearts are still searching. May our parish be a place where they encounter the love, truth, and hope that only God can provide.
Yours in Christ, Tyler Nadeau
