This is the third homily in my series entitled: “Trust in God-No Matter What!” In the first two homilies, we looked at the lives of St. Lorenzo Ruiz and St. Bede. Today we will explore the life of a man whom some have called “the man of the century”-St. John Paull II

I recently began a new homily series on trust. Remember the example of St. Lorenzo Ruiz. He experienced torment by being held upside down by a rope. Remember that he was told by his torturer that if he renounced Christ, the torture would be ended. Lorenzo responded, of course, by saying even if he had a thousand lives to give, he would give them all for Christ. Those were real words of trust.)
